The Rapidox 2100 portable oxygen gas analyser is packed with features normally only available in oxygen analysers costing thousands of pounds.  From the display to the outputs, all features are fully user-programmable using the menu system on the front panel. Easy to use and simple to calibrate using your choice of gases, the Rapidox 2100 offers exceptional performance and flexibility using a rugged, long-life zirconia oxygen sensor.  The Rapidox comes with powerful Windows software for easy data-logging and graphing. Just switch on and start measuring...

The Rapidox 2100 oxygen analyser allows fast and accurate oxygen analysis over the full oxygen range (10e-20ppm to 100% O2). The analyser provides continuous on-line oxygen analysis, with a typical response time less than 4 seconds for a 90% response to a step change in gas compositions.

The sensor head comprises a zirconia ceramic tube that needs to be heated to 650°C before it will conduct oxygen ions. The analyser supplies heat to the sensor, which is controlled very accurately by a regulated power supply incorporated in the instrument.

The analyser is packed with features including fully programmable alarm circuits, programmable analogue outputs, easy calibration (user selectable gases), RS232 communications, independent type K thermocouple, sensor cleaning and a full set of communications / data-logging software.

New to the Rapidox 2100 is
vacuum and helium mode operation allowing the analyser to work in vacuum systems and in helium gas mixtures.  Helium is notoriously difficult to work with because of its high thermal conductivity but this has been overcome in the 2100.  Also available for the first time is the option to use an independent pressure sensor, vacuum sensor OR dew-point sensor to monitor independently.  The pressure sensor can be linked with the sensor signal to give fully pressure corrected readings, or as a totally independent sensor.

Features

Applications

Very fast measurement response (between 1 and 4 seconds for a 90% response).
Full measurement range available (10e-20 ppm to 100% oxygen).
High accuracy maintained throughout the measurement range. Accuracy ± 1% of the actual measured oxygen with a precision ± 0.5%.
Nernst mode of operation for ultra low oxygen concentrations..
Independent type K thermocouple fitted as standard.  Range 0-1250°C.
Easy to calibrate by the user using ANY TWO gases (air is usually chosen for convenience).
Simple installation, low maintenance, sensor life expectancy typically 35,000 hours.
Large back-lit LCD display showing % oxygen & temperature in degrees °C OR Auxiliary sensor output (pressure, vacuum or dew-point).
RS232, 0-5V or 4-20mA current loop outputs (both user programmable).
Win 95/98/2000/XP data logging software with MS-Excel compatible graphing included.
Unique sensor cleaning facility which can be operated at any time during use.
Independent pressure, vacuum or dew-point sensor attachment (optional extras)
Laboratory scale furnace experiments where the control and monitoring of residual oxygen are critical
Industrial processes using low oxygen environments (e.g. wave soldering under nitrogen, vacuum welding, testing nitrogen generators).
Reducing fuel costs by optimising the combustion process in a wide range of commercial and domestic boilers using all types of fuel.
Monitoring reduction processes where gases such as CO are used.
Control of the combustion process in lean-burn applications.
Control of critical oxygen atmospheres where high partial pressures are required.
Vacuum leak detection applications: The Rapidox 2100 is extremely sensitive to changes in vacuum brought about by small leaks.  Special KF or CF fittings available.
Testing the purity of gases such as nitrogen argon and helium.
