Oxygen Sensing in Vacuum
Most industrial applications that work under vacuum usually do so because of the need to keep oxygen out of the system, for example the silicon chip industry. In that case why are you measuring the strength of your vacuum when you really should be measuring the oxygen content? The Rapidox sensor can be supplied with a special KF (25mm) or CF stainless steel flange adaptor for immediate fitting into a vacuum system. This item is available at small extra cost.
The graph below shows real data taken from a vacuum pump fitted with a set of three calibrated vacuum gauges (represented by the different colours). The straight line is a plot of the theoretical oxygen content and the individual points are taken from a Rapidox connected to the pump.
