The Rapidox 3100 oxygen analyser allows fast and accurate oxygen analysis over the full oxygen range (10e-20ppm to 100% O2). The analyser provides continuous on-line oxygen analysis, with a typical response time less than 5 seconds for a 90% response to a step change in gas compositions.

At the heart of the Rapidox 3100 is a top-of-the-range Medo linear-motor-driven free piston vacuum pump manufactured by Nitto; a world leader in pump technology.  The pumps are exceptionally quiet (40 dB/m or less).  The flow of gas can be adjusted using the flow gauge / needle valve on the front panel of the analyser.  Typical flow rate is 1 litre per minute

The Rapidox 3100 is packed with features normally only available in oxygen analysers costing many thousands of pounds.  From the display to the outputs, all features are fully user-programmable using the keypad on the front panel. Easy to use and simple to calibrate using your choice of gases, the Rapidox 3100 offers exceptional performance and flexibility using a rugged, long-life zirconia oxygen sensor.  The Rapidox comes with powerful Windows software for easy data-logging and graphing. Just switch on and start measuring...

The Rapidox 3100 is now available in a dual-gas version with O2 and CO2 or O2 and CO!  Please contact us for further details.

Features

Applications

Bench mounted gas sampling zirconia oxygen gas analyser
Continuous gas sampling via powerful yet silent internally located linear piston pump
Flow rate controlled by needle valve / flow gauge on front panel
Fast measurement response (typically 5 seconds for a 90% response)
Full measurement range available (10e-20 ppm to 100% oxygen)
High accuracy maintained throughout the measurement range. Accuracy ± 1% of the actual measured oxygen with a precision ± 0.5%
On-board pressure sensor for enhanced stability (pressure can be displayed)
Helium mode of operation for helium gas mixtures
Independent type K thermocouple fitted as standard.  Range 0-1250°C
Easy to calibrate by the user using ANY TWO gases (air is usually chosen for convenience)
Sensor life expectancy typically 35,000 hours.
Large back-lit LCD display showing % oxygen & temperature in degrees °C or pressure (mbar) from the internal pressure sensor
RS232 (or RS485), 0-5V or 4-20mA current loop outputs (both user programmable)
Windows data logging software with MS-Excel compatible graphing included
Fully programmable alarms (low and high condition) with outputs and visual warning
Unique sensor cleaning facility which can be operated at any time during use
Laboratory scale furnace experiments where the control and monitoring of residual oxygen are critical
Industrial processes using low oxygen environments (e.g. wave soldering under nitrogen, vacuum welding, testing nitrogen generators).
Remote sampling of gas in a restricted area (e.g. inert gas filled storage vessels)
Control of the combustion process in lean-burn applications.
Sampling oxygen levels in rooms where asphyxiation may be a hazard. E.g. in rooms containing liquid nitrogen dewars
Control of critical oxygen atmospheres where high oxygen partial pressures are required.
Testing the purity of gases such as nitrogen argon and CO2
