Analysis In Hydrogen Production

With recent interest in the environment, carbon emissions, electric vehicles, heating our homes etc, there has been a massive surge in interest in hydrogen; this is because it can be used to power vehicles, generate electricity and to provide power for industrial processes.

The main sources for the commercial production of industrial hydrogen are from fossil fuels (natural gas, oil, coal) by steam methane reforming; other methods of hydrogen production include biomass gasification, zero-CO2-emission methane pyrolysis, and the electrolysis of water.

Cambridge Sensotec has a long and established history of manufacturing high precision gas analysers.

The company’s technical team has collaborated with users to fine-tune the form and function of their analysers to suit user requirements and we continue to develop our products for industrial applications.

The Rapidox 5100 is a mobile analyser with full laboratory functionality and can therefore be moved as required for use at different locations around a site; as well as a hydrogen sensor (0-100% or 0-10% ranges available), the modular design allows for a bespoke sensor combination to be included upon request.

All our other analysers are available as either bench top or rack-mountable formats; the latter means that they can be incorporated into suitable industry standard test equipment racks that have an ATEX rating suitable for the location.

The Rapidox 7100 Multi-gas Analyser is a high specification instrument designed for the continuous measurement, analysis, control and monitoring of process gas in a wide range of industries. It allows the option of selecting multiple gas sensing configurations to suit the application.

The Rapidox 1100 is a versatile and cost-effective single analyser that measures hydrogen (0-100%, 0-30% or 0-10% ranges available) and has gas sample connections at either the front or rear; it is also available in a rack mountable format. Alternatively, it could be configured to look for impurities only (for example, ppm oxygen).

The Rapidox 3100 range includes precision single, dual and triple gas analysis instruments providing powerful functionality and extensive features. Designed for process, research and development applications, this gas analyser is ideally suited to monitor the quality of your gas production and is available as bench or rack-mountable versions.

As a privately-owned company, staffed by highly skilled technologists, Cambridge Sensotec is perfectly placed to react to its customers specialised gas analysis requirements. Dynamic and flexible, the company can design and supply solutions to suit a variety of gas analysis applications.
